Privacy
The short version: there is one form on this website, the enquiry form, and it collects only what you type into it. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. What follows says exactly what that form collects, who sees it and how long it is kept.
01 What this website collects
Only what you send us on the enquiry form. Reading this site collects nothing about you: there is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no newsletter and no account. We do not know how many people visit or what they look at. The fonts are served from our own server rather than from a font network, which is deliberate: a font loaded from someone else's service would tell that service you were here.
If you fill in the enquiry form, we store what you typed:
- Your name, your company or brand, and your phone number. These are required, because without them we cannot reply.
- Your email address and your comments, if you chose to give them. Both are optional and the form works without either.
- Any photographs you attach. Up to four. They are stored with the enquiry and attached to the email that notifies us.
Three things are recorded alongside it that you did not type, and it is fairer to name them than to let you assume otherwise: the address your browser connected from (your IP address), which browser you used, and the page you came from. These are kept for one reason, to tell a real enquiry from an automated one and to limit how many can be sent from one connection in an hour. They are not used to build a profile and are not shared.
Separately from the form, a web server unavoidably records what it needs in order to send you a page: the request, and the address it came from. That is kept by our hosting provider as part of running the server.
02 The counter configurator
The tool on the home page that lets you set a counter's run, its stations and its finish sends nothing anywhere. It is drawn in your own browser and the numbers stay there. Nothing about what you configured is recorded, and closing the tab loses it.
Send us this counter opens WhatsApp with the specification written out as a message. Nothing is sent until you press send in WhatsApp, and that conversation then travels through WhatsApp under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours.
03 When you contact us
There are two ways to reach us and they behave differently.
- The enquiry form sends what you typed to our own server, where it is stored, and emails a copy to us so that somebody sees it. You are given a reference so you can quote it if you call.
- Call, WhatsApp and email links hand you over to your own phone or email application; nothing is sent from the website itself.
Either way, we hold what you chose to tell us: your name, your contact details, any photographs you sent, and what you said about the bar you need. We use it to answer you and to quote for the work, and for nothing else. We do not send marketing.
04 Who else sees it
We do not sell, rent or share enquiry information. Enquiries are read through a sign-in protected page that only named staff can reach; there is no public way to view them.
Three third parties are unavoidably involved and are worth naming plainly. Our web hosting provider operates the server this page is served from and the database the enquiries are stored in. The email notifying us of your enquiry travels through our email provider and arrives in a Google mailbox. If you contact us through WhatsApp instead, that conversation sits with WhatsApp. Each holds that data under its own policy.
Yang's Bar is a Mittal Technology brand, alongside Haesyn and KitchenCraft. An enquiry sent here stays with Yang's Bar and is not passed to the other brands unless you ask for it to be.
05 How long we keep it
Enquiries, including any photographs attached to them, are kept while there is a live conversation, and afterwards for as long as the working relationship reasonably lasts, so that we can support what we supplied and find the history if you come back. If you would rather we deleted your enquiry, ask and we will; quoting the reference from your thank-you screen makes it quicker to find, but your name and number are enough.
06 Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to erase it. Write to the address below and we will answer.
These rights cover everything above: what you typed into the enquiry form, the photographs you attached, and the technical details recorded alongside them.
07 Cookies
Browsing this website, including using the counter configurator and sending an enquiry, sets no cookies. That is why you are not asked to accept anything.
There is one exception, and it never applies to visitors: the staff page where enquiries are read sets a single sign-in cookie for the member of staff who signed in. It holds nothing but a random session identifier, it is readable only by the server and not by any script, it expires when the browser closes, and it is deleted on sign-out.
08 Children
This is a website about commercial bar equipment and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
09 Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions; what is written here is what applies now.
